Fluids monitoring and reporting services from Baker Hughes ensure that our customers drilling fluid systems are delivering and maintaining peak performance during every phase of the well. Baker Hughes’ automated monitoring solutions provides continuous monitoring of fluid and drilling parameters combined with automated analysis and real-time, expert support.
Play a pivotal role
As our Applications Engineer you will support global deployment of Drilling and Completion Fluids (DCF) equipment and technology, ensure Service Delivery Compliance, adhere to Managing the Job Cycle (MtJC) process and standard operating procedures.
You will also be responsible for:
- Improving DCF equipment processes and procedures incorporating lessons learned into related documentation
- Providing feedback and support to DCF technology team on technology improvement opportunities and new technology applications and testing
- Providing training and resources to local teams encouraging knowledge sharing to enable local teams to support and sustain customer operations
- Collaborating with other Product Lines and the business segments on integrated customer opportunities, deployment strategies, and knowledge sharing.
- Working with clients and contractors as a key point of communication for oil field equipment surveys and installations
- Managing equipment installation projects including but not limited to: Performing rig surveys, Developing installation configurations and design, Creating and finalizing installation work packs, Coordinating instillation execution, Commissioning / start-up of equipment operations (initial data setup, equipment calibration, connectivity, network setup, and data transmission)
- Remote monitoring and support active equipment deployed in the field
- Ensuring performance, service uptime (field data), connectivity reliability and data transmission (remote data)
- Communicate with well construction support to ensure data delivery for clients
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field of study
- Considerable years’ experience in oil field services and technology
- Good understanding of fluid mechanics and dynamics, electrical systems and industry standards for lifting and transport of equipment
- Experience of fluid circulating equipment, monitoring sensors, and equipment mechanics
- Ability to provide technical support for Baker Hughes data delivery platforms - Corva, Well Link RT and Cadence
- Ability to provide technical support and manage knowledge resources for the Solids control equipment, Automated Fluid Measurement (AFM) equipment, Field hardware (various sensors, control panels, field data processing computers, connectivity devices, etc.) Acquisition software and software interfaces related to equipment and Data visualization software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication, documentation, and presentation skills
- Project Management Self-motivated and time management skills
- Ability to travel to customer locations and field sites as required
