At Xeneta, we help some of the world’s most recognized brands — including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and L’Oréal — benchmark their ocean freight rates, alongside leading logistics providers like Kuehne+Nagel and CEVA Logistics. As a Junior Data Analyst, you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of these global shippers and logistics companies, ensuring their freight rate data is clean, accurate, and ready for analysis. You’ll play a key role in supporting their procurement processes and be a trusted point of contact for all data-related matters.
This role is ideal if you enjoy working directly with data to solve real business problems and improve the customer experience. Success in this role starts with strong Excel capabilities, a structured mindset, and a genuine interest in commercial and operational challenges.
What you will be doing
- Take ownership of a set group of customer accounts, acting as their go-to data partner throughout the freight procurement lifecycle
- Work hands-on in Microsoft Excel to clean, structure, validate, and deliver complex ocean freight pricing data
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Sales teams to respond to customer requests across RFQs, contract updates, and rate analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate data uploads into our platform to support meaningful benchmarking and insights
- Gain a deep understanding of global ocean freight dynamics and how pricing works in both short- and long-term markets
- Partner with internal teams (Product, Tech, Data Science) to improve workflows and build tools that enhance quality and efficiency

- Comfortable working with unstructured datasets and identifying patterns or inconsistencies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal — you enjoy solving problems together with customers
- Fluent in English
- Naturally detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive
- A team player who takes ownership, follows through, and delivers on time
Bonus points for
- Experience working with unstructured datasets in Excel
- Experience analyzing or working with price data
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles
- Proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight
- Experience with SQL or Python
Why join us?
This is a great opportunity to build your skills at the intersection of data and global trade — with a clear path for growth into more advanced analytical, customer-facing, or operational roles. You’ll get exposure to real-world data challenges, work with globally recognized brands, and be part of a fast-growing company reshaping the ocean freight industry.
