Discover the Role
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in our HR & Payroll team in Asker, supporting the Payroll Team Leader in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality payroll and HR services to our clients. This is a dynamic role that combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, offering a broad scope for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Payroll Team Leader with onboarding new clients and setting up payroll systems.
- Analyze client data and specific requirements to deliver tailored payroll solutions.
- Prepare and maintain payroll computations for multiple clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure timely collection and verification of payroll documents and input data in line with local regulations and client contracts.
- Maintain organized and complete client files according to established filing procedures.
- Provide support to team members to ensure service excellence and on-time delivery.
- Meet established deadlines for each client and monitor progress of payroll processing.
- Perform fieldwork when required, including collecting and preparing documentation for TMF or client needs.
- Maintain strong client relationships and respond professionally to queries and requests.
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors, banks, and relevant authorities.
- Provide HR support services, including handling employee queries, assisting with hiring and terminations, and preparing related documentation.
- Submit payroll checklists for review and approval in line with the four-eyes principle and internal controls.

- 5–6 years of relevant experience in payroll or a similar role, ideally within a client-facing business environment.
- Proven ability to deliver excellent client service and build strong professional relationships.
- A resourceful mindset with strong technical knowledge or a keen interest in exploring innovative ways to support our clients.
- Independent and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian (fluent) and English, written and verbal.
- Strong planning and organisational abilities, with a reliable and responsible approach to work.
- A collaborative team player who contributes to shared goals and supports colleagues.
