As a Workshop Technician at NOV Stavanger, you will be part of the only workshop globally that services and repairs this type of advanced downhole technology. Here you can put your mechanical expertise to use on equipment that combines mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics. You will work hands-on with innovative tools, where precision, safety, and quality are essential.

Downhole Broadband Solutions (DBS), a business unit within NOV, delivers world-leading technology that provides high-speed data communication directly from the downhole environment to the surface. DBS solutions transform how operators monitor, analyze, and optimize operations in real time. We are around 100 employees in Stavanger, and you will join a team of 10 dedicated Workshop Technicians.

Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and assemble advanced downhole tools
- Inspect, evaluate, and disassemble/assemble various equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and mechanical components
- Assist with sensor checks, calibration, and electronic components as required
- Ensure safe operations and follow 5S and safety routines
- Contribute to continuous improvement in workshop processes
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Background in mechanics, mechatronics, or industrial service
- Solid hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, or electromechanical systems
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and procedures
- Solid IT skills (MS Office)
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with drilling equipment
- Knowledge of electronics and sensor calibration
- Forklift (T1, T4) or overhead crane (G4) certification
- Fluent in Norwegian, written and spoken
