Adjunct Faculty - Climate Justice Leadership

The Opportunity
Lesley University's department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeing a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach CAPPL 3020 - Climate Justice Leadership during the 2025 Fall 1 Term. This course is taught asynchronously and is fully remote.
Course Description: This course introduces students to the problem of climate inaction from diverse disciplinary perspectives. Students engage in the applied work of developing leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills central to addressing the impacts of climate change on the most affected populations. Students’ final projects propose practical ways Lesley and/or community organizations can support Massachusetts residents in confronting climate impacts.
Qualifications and Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:
  • Master's degree (PhD preferred) in an interdisciplinary area, with experience teaching in this particular discipline - Social Sciences, Climate, Leadership, etc.
  • Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
  • Experience in constructivist, inquiry-based learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
