Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer – Level 1 to join our technical support team. This entry-level position is responsible for providing first-line support to end users by resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality IT support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices (Windows/macOS).
- Support commonly used applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft 365, email clients, and browsers.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, IP conflicts, VPN issues).
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access permissions via Active Directory.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware according to company standards.
- Log, prioritize, and track support requests using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Freshdesk).
- Set up and support audio/visual equipment for meetings and presentations.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and asset records.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0–2 years of experience in a similar IT support or help desk role.
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with ITIL practices.
- Experience with Active Directory and remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).
- Certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation.
