The Role
Scan-Tech AS is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our product range, supporting both current offerings and future innovations across our sales and rental fleets, including EPC projects. This role involves a mix of new product development and hands-on technical support for existing equipment. You'll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams—spanning electrical, automation, and instrumentation—so strong teamwork and communication skills in English are essential. We value individuals who are detail-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable to shifting project scopes. Principle Accountabilities
- Assess technical queries and provide engineering design to new products and support existing product range.
- Liaise with internal Scan-Tech AS departments such as sales, procurement, and production to ensure the best technical solution is provided in all instances.
- Sourcing suitable components/materials in creation of Scan-Tech Bill of Materials.
- Creation, checking and updating of documents such as manufacturing drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification and reports.
- Ensuring engineering solutions are provided on time and on budget.
- Site visits to client assets and suppliers as and when required.
- Technical support to the workshop supervisors and project leaders.
- Ensure required documentations are in compliance with rules and regulations. Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrate experience in a similar role.
- Electro/Automation engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Preferable experience with Simens TIA portal programming (PLS).
- Experience/knowledge with AutoCAD/Draft-Sight and E-plan design/drawing program.
- Preferable with knowledge within Norsok, ATEX and EX, regarding electro/automation.
