We offer TV and streaming services to hundreds of thousands of customers and collaborate with leading content providers. As part of our growth strategy, we’re looking for a new Head of Profitability to join the Entertainment value stream leadership team.
About the Role
As Head of Profitability, you will ensure the profitability of the value stream by embedding financial thinking into product, content, pricing, and market strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams and our Nordic content unit, you’ll balance customer value with financial performance, optimize business models, and drive strategic initiatives from idea to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement profitability strategies balancing customer value with financial performance across products, content, pricing, and distribution channels.
- Lead financial analysis to ensure we translate insights into commercial value.
- Drive cost optimization and strategic realization through mandate processes and support content negotiations.
- Coach teams to embed profitability into their workflows and aligning with business goals.
- Play a key role in the leadership team, setting direction and promoting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product and market lead to ensure alignment between customer experience and financial outcomes.
- Take ownership of initiatives from idea to implementation, ensuring documented impact.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and agile ways of working within the value stream.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and a passion for enabling others. You thrive in dynamic environments and have a proven ability to drive change and deliver results.
- Hold an MSc or higher in economics, finance, or related fields (relevant experience may compensate).
- Strong financial expertise and understanding of profitability drivers.
- Experience in pricing strategy, valuation of products/services, and commercial optimization.
- Proven ability to translate analysis into actionable business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, implement new processes, and coach teams.
- High level of business understanding and analytical competence.
- Fluent in English and Norwegian, with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sharing knowledge and developing others through coaching and collaboration.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional team environments.
- Experience with business models in TV/content distribution and negotiations with content providers.
