We are seeking a curious and driven Junior Data Analyst to join our team in Bergen. This role is ideal for someone passionate about uncovering insights from complex datasets and communicating findings in a clear, visual, and impactful way. You will work closely with domain experts in environmental, technology, biology, quality and fish health, helping to shape hypotheses, explore data and achieve relevant insights that can have a business impact.

Key responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets using statistical methods.
- Develop clear, compelling visualizations to communicate key insights.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand data context and define hypotheses.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Support the development of data-driven strategies and decision-making.
- Document findings and present results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired qualifications
- Master degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or other related fields.
- Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, as well as statistical tools such as python, R, or other similar analytical languages.
- Experience in cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in English; Norwegian is a plus.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Bergen.

This position is based in Bergen, Norway.
