The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, designing, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing of selected projects included in GBS Tech project portfolio. Reporting to the Project and Transformation Manager, GBS
What you will be doing:
Planning, executing, and implementing global projects of varying size in the GBS Tech project portfolio according to our defined project management standards – projects related to digitalization, optimization, process automation and organizational change
Actively promoting continuous improvement in the organization and actively identifying, analysing and creating suggestions for strategic and operational improvement opportunities as well as support on qualifying improvement ideas into concrete initiatives and projects
Serving as the primary owner and coordinator of all cyber security projects, ensuring alignment with organizational risk management and compliance requirements.
Ensuring planned activities support ISO27001 certification and NIS2 directive compliance efforts.
Facilitating and fostering close collaboration between GBS functions and towards business divisions
Ensuring focus on qualitative and quantitative project objectives and improvements and ensuring that benefits are measured (KPIs), followed-up and realized
Supporting GBS Tech in developing, prioritizing and managing their improvement and transformation roadmap
Taking an active role in further improving and professionalizing our project management standards, capabilities and ways of working within the GBS Tech PMO
Deriving sound business case analysis and business development activities
Establishing and driving GBS Tech’s portfolio prioritization and governance processes, ensuring continuous focus and measurable progress on strategic initiatives
What we are looking for:
Master’s degree, preferable in Business Administration, Economics, IT or other technical
Knowledge of process improvement (e.g. Lean), automation, and rationalisation methodologies
Good commercial experience in a global technology / managed services environment
Successful ability to drive change in a highly complex organisational environment; by dispersed geographies, organisational design; multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
Ability to provide leadership, clarity, and purpose whilst dealing with complex issues with ambiguous outcomes
Direct experience of having managed offshore projects, leading indirect large-scale teams & direct global team across 3 continents
Comfortable with operating in a multi-dimensional, complex operating model, deals well with tight & sudden deadlines
Ability to engage with senior stakeholders across multiple organisations and geographies to gain support for material change
The ability to build and nurture relationships across Wilhelmsen is paramount.
Ability to implement a programme of significant change whilst maintaining existing relations; maintaining high staff engagement; and ensuring continued delivery of services to customers, yet operations itself lies in the business units
Proactively manages risk/issues linked to transformation programmes and takes mitigating actions
Strong service improvement and programme leadership skills
