1. About the Role
As a Proposal Manager for Subsea Products , you’ll be the driving force behind winning complex, high-value contracts for subsea structures and tie-in technologies across global markets — all from your base in Norway , where our product development and engineering expertise is anchored.
In this high-impact role, you’ll be NOV’s primary commercial focal point in the region, owning the full proposal lifecycle — from shaping strategy and engaging with customers to coordinating world-class technical input and delivering competitive, compliant bids. Your scope will span international tenders in regions such as the North Sea, South America, and beyond.
You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy while tapping into strong global support, including proposal and operations teams in Denmark and Brazil , and subsea engineering expertise right here in Norway . This structure gives you both the freedom to drive local strategies and the backing to deliver globally recognized solutions .

4. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full proposal lifecycle — from receiving ITTs to final submission
- Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Manufacturing, and Project Management to compile and review all bid documentation
- Analyze tender requirements and develop tailored bid strategies
- Act as the customer focal point for subsea product proposals in Norway
- Review customer contracts and ensure compliance with NOV standards
- Support the handover of awarded projects to execution teams
- Explore market opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives
- Drive proposal process improvements and maintain alignment with corporate QHSE and compliance frameworks
5. Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably with elements of business/sales)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, proposal management, or commercial operations — ideally in subsea or offshore industries
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to manage complex bids and cross-functional coordination
- Skilled in reviewing engineering drawings, customer specs, and commercial terms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Strategic mindset with technical affinity
- Resilient under pressure and adaptable in new environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience influencing without authority in matrixed organizations
- Proficiency in a Scandinavian language is preferred
