The position is reporting to the Managing Director HAVI Norway, with a dotted line to the Senior Manager Quality & Sustainability cluster North.
Overall Responsibilities
The Q&S Specialist is responsible for the coordination and effectiveness of all Quality & Safety systems and processes within the company. The Q&S Specialist strives to improve the business and ensures co-workers to contribute to the continuous development of the company.
The Q&S Specialist assures a performance level in line with the management systems, policies and instructions, company targets, culture as well as effective laws and regulations.
This role is essential for making sure our goods are delivered safely and in controlled condition. In addition, in this position we are looking for someone who is great at steering processes, who enjoys interacting with different colleagues from various departments. Also, the ideal candidate is skilled in making the team understand the importance of food quality & safety and lastly not afraid of holding others accountable in the process.
Main task and responsibilities
- Maintain, implement, and monitor quality management systems and HSE procedures across the organization;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality, food and human safety standards and regulations relevant for the business and responsibility area;
- Lead internal and external audits and support certification processes;
- Conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement within quality and safety
- Responsible for non-conformance handling, root cause analysis and follow-up of improvement measures;
- Train and support employees across departments in quality and safety awareness;
- Report quality and safety KPIs and performance metrics;
- Actively drive improvement work in the business and run projects within the area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Higher education in quality management, food safety, logistics, or similar fields;
- 3-5 years’ Experience in quality assurance and/or HSE within food, logistics, or transport sectors;
- Solid knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g.: HACCP, TACCP, Food defense and IFS, BRC, ISO, local food safety laws);
- Great communication skills in both Norwegian and English (oral and written);
- Ability to work independently with a structured, detail-oriented approach and a mindset for improvement;
- Able to transfer knowledge to others (give instructions or training).
