WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
As a part-time intern in the Power Transmission Business Group, you will be welcomed into a collaborative and supportive environment where learning is part of our daily work. You’ll be part of the Quality team—a key function driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across our projects in Europe and beyond.
We are a diverse and cross-functional team, working closely with engineering, project execution, and transformation specialists. Our team is spread across different sites, and we collaborate in both in-person and virtual settings. You will report to the Quality Process & Tools Manager and be based in Oslo or Halden, with flexibility to combine your internship with your studies through hybrid work and adaptable hours.
This internship is a great opportunity to gain international exposure, build a professional network, and see how large-scale industrial projects are executed in real life. You’ll be encouraged to contribute, take ownership, and develop your skills in a real business environment. This is a part-time internship (2–3 days per week), with flexibility to accommodate your lecture schedule. The duration es estimated 4-6 months, depending on your start-date.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
In this internship, you won't just observe—you'll be an active contributor to Nexans' mission to electrify the future. You’ll help make our work processes more efficient, accessible, and aligned across teams and countries.
Specifically, you will:

Collaborate with process owners to document and improve how we work

Organize workshops and support internal teams in streamlining and visualizing their workflows

Take part in process mapping and Lean initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping

Track and follow up on action plans that drive improvement

Gain hands-on experience with quality systems, digital tools, and project coordination

Support the maintenance of our internal document management system

YOUR STARTING POINT
We know that the best candidates don’t always match every requirement listed, but here are some examples of the background and experience that can help you thrive in the role:

University student (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in engineering, quality management, project management, or a related field

Experience from a previous internship or part-time role in a larger organization is beneficial

Good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office

Structured, reliable, and self-driven

Interest in process improvement, management systems, and Lean principles

Fluent in English, – oral and written
