Who We Are Looking For
We are hiring an experienced Senior Accountant to take responsibility for monitoring financial transactions and financial management for six entities across Europe. The ideal candidate is a proactive and independently minded colleague who has a results focussed approach.
This position is full-time and located in Norway, candidates should reside within close proximity to our Kongsberg office. The postholder may have the possibility to work from their home office on occasions but attendance at the office is expected.
What You Will Be Responsible For
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for bookkeeping and financial management for six entities across Europe. You will ensure accurate and timely financial records, reporting, and compliance, supporting the wider global finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping for six European entities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, UK, France, and Germany.
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure compliance with local country specific regulations and internal policies
- Use Oracle NetSuite for financial transactions and reporting
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Office tools for data analysis and reporting
What You Need to Have
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Oracle NetSuite
- Experience with European financial regulations and multi-entity bookkeeping is a plus
- Written and verbal English language at professional level as this is the company language
- Other European language skills are a plus
