Join Oticon Medical as a Senior Developer, where your expertise will help shape the future of sound processor technology.
This position is in Gothenburg, Sweden, but with possibility to work from our offices in Kongebakken in Denmark or Nice in France.
Your Role:
As a technical lead in our R&D team, you will:
- Lead the mechanical development of new sound processors.
- Help build our mechanical development capabilities from scratch, including:
- Creating working models and prototypes.
- Managing supplier interactions and technical communication.
- Identifying key development activities and contributing to project planning.
- Apply your experienced knowledge of plastics and manufacturability to ensure robust, scalable designs.
- Drive your own tasks with a proactive and independent mindset.
- Lead concept generation and assess feasibility, desirability, and viability.
- Utilize your experience in:
- Mechanical design and 3D skeleton modeling.
- Material selection and surface treatment.
- Experience of Surface modelling (colloborate with industrial design)
- Work across disciplines in a collaborative environment with R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing.
What You Bring:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc or MSc), ideally with experience in medical devices or similar high-precision industries.
- Proven ability to lead technical development projects.
- Solid experience in mechanical design, material selection, surface treatment, and 3D skeleton modeling (surface design).
- A strong and deep understanding of fine mechanics, especially in plastics and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with hardware development projects and regulated industries (medical devices is a plus).
- Proficiency in CAD modeling (PTC Creo preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
