What you tell your friends you do
“I help our developers ship faster and safer by making sure our tools and systems just work.”
What you will really be doing
🚀 Help developers build, test, and deploy cloud services smoothly by creating tools, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
🛠️ Build monitoring and alerting systems, define basic reliability goals, and assist with disaster recovery planning.
🔁 Improve performance and stability by writing runbooks, automating fixes, and learning about chaos engineering.
🤝 Work with the central CloudOps team on making our systems work in multiple regions, and help teams take full ownership of their services.
🔐 Keep security and documentation in check for everything we build and run.
How you will be doing this
💬 Collaborate with developers, QA, and platform engineers to improve how we build and run our systems
👣 Follow and help shape DevOps practices across the company - learning from others and contributing your ideas
🧰 Use tools like Terraform, GitLab CI, and Kubernetes in real-world projects, with support and guidance from experienced teammates
📚 Learn from incidents and past challenges, whether they’re your own or someone else’s
🔄 Continuously improve our ways of working through retrospectives and knowledge sharing
Team and Impact
You’ll join Data Next, a cross-functional platform team building the foundation for how customer data flows through Aize’s product.
We’re currently developing a set of .NET microservices that enable fast, reliable data ingestion, access, and onboarding.
We follow a “you build it, you run it” approach and are moving toward full operational independence - including CI/CD, infrastructure, and testing.
Who we think you are
You don’t need to tick every box - but we think you’ll thrive in this role if you care about collaboration, learning, and building things that last.
We also think you:
- Thrive in cross-functional teams where knowledge flows both ways, and bring curiosity and a calm, structured approach to learning and problem-solving
- Design and operate systems with a focus on automation, reliability, and observability
- Are comfortable working with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code
- Understand how to balance speed and stability through monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response practices
- Communicate clearly and can coach others - whether you're pair-programming, reviewing code, or making DevOps tools and practices accessible to the whole team
