Fugro Satellite Positioning is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance and experience in software testing. As our QA engineer, you will be crucial in the implementation and maintenance of the QA oriented process/workflows. You work closely with the global QA manager to ensure a high standard quality framework and translate this to local needs. Together with the development teams and other stakeholders, you ensure that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Function as a regional point of contact to the QA Manager.
- Oversee the SQA Process implementation and support the development teams.
- Define and execute tests, document and analyze results and report on test status, contributing to the overall quality assurance process.
- Contribute to all phases of the project life cycle: requirements review, test planning/execution, reporting, and assessment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks through escalation/delegation of issues to appropriate members of the project team.
- Report on the progress and completion of software development milestones.
- Actively participate in improving business processes and business systems used for software development.
Desired background and preferred skills:
- Experience with System Development Life Cycle concepts, including Agile/Scrum.
- Software testing and compliance check experience required, preferably in safety critical domain.
- Engineering mindset with understanding of scientific/research-based development.
- Strong English communication skills both oral and written.
- Experience with Jira and Global Navigation Satellite Systems is a plus.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies and tools.
