- HELICOPTER OPERATIONS INITIAL TRAINING (HOIT), INCLUDING BASIC METEREOLOGICAL COURSE.
- HELIDECK EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM MEMBER (HERTM) / FURTHER HERTM.
- HELIDECK EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM LEADER (HERTL) / FURTHER HERTL.
- Proficiency in English.
Tasks:
- Maintain a safe navigational watch in accordance with COLREGS and company standing orders.
- Operate and monitor radar, ARPA, ECDIS, and other bridge equipment to ensure safe passage and DP operations.
- Keep GMDSS radio watch, maintain logs, and handle all communications as required.
- Supervise deck crew during safety drills, mooring, cargo operations, and emergency response exercises.
- Act as a team member in emergency scenarios: fire response, survival craft launching, medical aid, and rescue coordination.
- Support helicopter landing operations and helideck safety procedures, including refueling and passenger handling oversight.
- Carry out regular inspections of safety equipment, firefighting appliances, and survival craft readiness.
- Monitor environmental compliance, vessel security routines, and reporting as per ISPS/ISM Code.
- Provide leadership, teamwork, and mentoring to junior watchkeepers and deck crew during operations.
