In Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I) Norway we are one of largest lending providers in Norway responsible for the overall customer relationship for Nordea’s largest Corporates and Shipping customers. We are approximately 50 Relationship Managers focusing on creating great customer experiences through our relationship strategy.

About this opportunity
Welcome to the Large Corporates Energy team. We add value by servicing our customers with market leading financial solutions, including ESG/green financing solutions, through our relationship driven dialogue and cooperation. As an (Senior) Client Associate, you will play a valuable role in the development of our Energy team, helping us to keep up with the pace of the Energy sector and be a relevant banking partner to our customers.
As the (Senior) Client Associate, you will be a part of a customer team having the total responsibility for a customer portfolio, including the overall profitability, credit risk and coordination responsibility across the bank. You will work with some of the leading and most complex customers in the energy space.
In the role you will:
- Subject to experience, be responsible for a dynamic portfolio of leading Energy corporates at the forefront of the transition, taking part in defining the future
- Apply your financial and ESG competences to conduct analyses, and participate in structuring, presenting and executing large complex financial transactions
- Be proactive and have daily interactions with customers and internal stakeholders in order to build trustworthy and profitable partnerships with our customers. Keep up a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration across the bank
- Ensure that credit, compliance, ESG and operational risks are in accordance with applicable law, regulations and internal guidelines to limit the risk exposure

The right candidate possesses good general banking skills and be able to front and manage our customers with confidence
Your experience and background includes:
- An academic background (Master's degree or similar)
- Fluency in a Scandinavian language in addition to English
- Keen interest in the Energy sector, transition finance and ESG
- Some years of banking experience and/or experience in similar roles in Nordea or another financial institution i.e. experience in advising and serving customers
- Experience working with financial and credit analysis is an advantage
