Job Description
To support our continued international growth, TOMRA Collection is looking for additional Technical Product Managers to support and develop our portfolio of reverse vending systems. The technology TOMRA develops requires an increasingly deep understanding of sensor-based solutions, comprising both hardware, software and electronics, and how these come together to create great user experiences and value for our customers.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be part of an interdisciplinary product team with dedicated product or product line responsibility. Together with the team consisting of product management, technical product management, technical communication and marketing, you will support your products from cradle to grave, helping to ensure the performance, competitiveness and profitability of our solutions. You will be technically responsible for your product(s) contribute to product development and assist technical teams across international markets. Also, you will work in technology development projects and supporting large development initiatives, driving next-generation solutions that belong to our product unit.
The role requires active and close cooperation with the markets to ensure a solid understanding of our products and how they are used, in addition to understanding our business and markets. Some international travel is to be expected. The position reports to the Manager Solutions, Product Unit Spark.
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility and ownership of TOMRA’s products through the product life cycle
Take on the Technical Product Owner (TPO) role in development projects from start to product launch
Running technical market support and product adaptation of our portfolio across markets, ensuring product performance and market success
Responsible for internal competence building and training, and supporting our organization internally
Continuously stay updated on customers’ needs, challenges and opportunities
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
Technical problem solver, hands-on, curious and solution-oriented
Strong technical understanding, across hardware, software and electronics domains
Education in automation, electrical, mechanical engineering, software or similar (minimum bachelor's)
Experience with sensor-based technology and automated systems will be an advantage
Experience with troubleshooting, especially in software and electronics
Expertise and great interest in sustainable system engineering solutions
Market and customer understanding
Relevant experience from similar technical positions or environments

Be a team player, while also being self-driven and able to make independent decisions when necessary
Comfortable working towards KPIs
Proficient in Norwegian and English as working languages
Comfortable with some travel for work and possibly interested in a short stay abroad
