The Role
AutoStore is looking to hire a Product Owner/Lead Engineer responsible for our Plastic Bins. The Plastic Bins is the container for the good inside our Cube Storage System.
At AutoStore, product owners play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. The Product Owner/Lead Engineer brings together the technical and business aspects of product development, ensuring successful collaboration and product delivery.
In this role, you will take ownership of our Plastic Bins and maintain a complete overview of the product from a technical perspective, plan changes and upgrades, and work with a R&D Lead Engineer to implement those changes.
This role can be based in Vats, Norway or Oslo, Norway.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain a complete overview of how the bins perform, including quality, customer complaints, supply stability, and production issues.
Have a 360 overview of the product and how it performs in the AutoStore context. Identify gaps and drive improvements broadly to improve the product and associated services.
Collaborate closely with the commercial team, including Product Portfolio Managers and the sales organization. Provide regular updates to the Product Board and other relevant stakeholders.
Accountable for identifying and prioritizing the most valuable potential product improvements and showing ROI for the changes. Assemble and lead projects to address identified improvements.
Foster a collaborative and communicative spirit in the development team. Help foster a cross-disciplinary collaboration culture.
Project Management Skills: Assemble and lead small to medium upgrade projects related to the product portfolio.
Key Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering or Product function role
Technical knowledge of plastic as an industrial compondent and physical good
Ability to set goals and work collaboratively with engineers to reach them
2+ years of project management experience
Must be highly collaborative, able to motivate those around you, and able to think holistically about proposed changes
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline, relevant experience may compensate to formal education
