What You Will Do
As an EHS-Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and support on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) matters across projects and sites in Norway. You will work closely with management teams and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. With travel required between various sites, you will play a key role in fostering a positive EHS culture across all projects.
Reporting to the EHS Manager for the region, this role requires flexibility, collaboration, and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.

How You Will Do It
- Act as a subject matter expert for management teams, developing formal project plans to drive EHS improvements across sites.
- Travel between JCI locations, construction sites and customers to provide hands-on support and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Regularly present EHS data to clients, service-/project leaders, and management teams.
- Identify risks and gaps, providing practical solutions to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive EHS initiatives.
- Support the development of project-specific EHS plans and ensure their effective communication across teams.
- Conduct audits, monitor compliance, and implement follow-up actions to address weaknesses.
- Deliver training and development programs to enhance EHS awareness and capabilities.
- Investigate incidents to identify root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with authorities when required, ensuring swift resolution of any issues.
- Participate in industry forums to stay updated on best practices and innovations within EHS.
What We Look For
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken. Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels and boundaries, with strong oral and written presentation skills.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
- Qualifications: Relevant higher education from a university or college, at a minimum bachelor's level. Preferably within Environmental, Health, and Safety Management.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of EHS experience on large and complex construction projects, with demonstrated success in implementing EHS management systems.
- Drive and Agility: A proactive self-starter with the ability to prioritize and adapt to dynamic environments.
- Travel: Flexibility to travel regularly between JCI locations, project sites, etc.
- License: Driving license B is required.
