Are you passionate about enhancing operational performance and driving impactful change? We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative professional to join our Performance Improvement team within the Operational Excellence department in Shipping.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our efforts to measure, analyze, and improve operational performance in close partnership with key stakeholders across the Shipping division. You’ll lead cost-saving initiatives, develop and track KPIs, and implement strategic improvements that make a real difference.
Working alongside a dynamic team based in Oslo, Stockholm, and Seoul, you’ll engage with colleagues across Business Operations, Marine Operations, Product Development, IT, and the Orcelle Accelerator.
This position offers a unique blend of hands-on work and leadership, giving you the opportunity to coordinate initiatives and collaborate with people at all levels of the organization.

This role will be involved in activities across our area of responsibility working closely together with a team of colleagues with a specific focus on:
- Operational Improvement & Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives to identify inefficiencies, streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver measurable cost savings.
- Data Analysis, KPI’s & Reporting: Perform data analysis and develop operational reports and KPIs to uncover trends, identify improvement opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Project Management: Manage cross-functional projects, defining scope, timelines, and deliverables. Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders, share insights, and ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Change Management: Apply change management methodologies to guide teams through transitions in ways of working. Support adoption by engaging stakeholders, managing resistance, and embedding improvements into daily operations.
- Operational Excellence Support: Contribute to initiatives that support the OpEx team in realizing our ambition: drive operational improvements through innovation, digitalization and systematic management of quality and performance.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Shipping Operation, Shipping Commercial, Business Consulting, and/or other relevant sectors.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience in Power BI, PowerApps, Python, or similar is a plus. Proven ability to facilitate workshops, meetings, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Structured way of working and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex issues clearly.
- Understanding of central elements in shipping and trading.
- A clear vision on how to link technology and operation together.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in cross-cultural environments; international experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
