Our global client is currently seeking experienced Slickline Consultants to work offshore in Norway. The role will involve overseeing, planning, and executing slickline operations safely and efficiently in accordance with client work scopes, and industry best practices. This is a senior technical position requiring strong operational competence, leadership skills, and the ability to advise and direct offshore slickline crews in live well environments.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate all slickline operations on offshore installations.
Act as the primary offshore technical authority for slickline intervention.
Ensure operations are carried out to client specifications, procedures, and industry standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to HSE policies and Norwegian regulatory requirements.
Lead toolbox talks, risk assessments, and pre-job safety meetings.
Stop work and initiate corrective action in the event of unsafe practices.
Planning & Execution:
Review work packs, well schematics, and operational programs prior to execution.
Oversee equipment rig-up, functional testing, and pre-job verification.
Troubleshoot downhole and surface equipment issues in real time.
Reporting & Documentation:
Complete detailed daily reports, well intervention summaries, and end-of-job evaluations.
Maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance and client review.
Team Development:
Mentor and guide less experienced crew members.
Support knowledge transfer and skills development in line with company training programs.
Requirements
Valid offshore survival certification (BOSIET/Escape Chute)
Valid offshore medical certificate (OGUK/Norwegian equivalent)
H2S awareness, Working at Height, and confined space entry certification (preferred)
Must reside in UK or EU due to entry restrictions
