Position Overview
As a Move Manager/ Logistics Coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for employees relocating globally, coordinating the safe and efficient transport of their household goods and personal items. Your focus will be on providing a seamless moving experience while delivering exceptional customer service every step of the way.
You’ll guide employees through the moving process, solve logistical challenges, and collaborate closely with a global network of partners and vendors. If you’re proactive, culturally aware, and have excellent time management skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Location
• Office: Eiksmarka, Oslo, Norway
• Language: Fluent Norwegian (written and spoken) is required
• Some flexibility required during peak season (especially summer), including occasional after-hours communication
Your Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Customer Service (60%)
• Be the primary contact for employees during their move
• Set clear expectations and provide proactive updates and support
• Handle inquiries with empathy and urgency
• Build trusted relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction
• Own the success of every move from start to finish
• Meet or exceed service quality benchmarks (IMC Scorecard)
Logistics Coordination (10%)
• Plan, organize, and coordinate shipment routing
• Work with agents, freight carriers, and customs on all transport modes (air, sea, road)
• Ensure timely and cost-effective execution of every move
• Navigate potential shipping or customs issues with problem-solving and persistence
Move Administration (10%)
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems (Globalcom/PROMOVE/Navision)
• Manage all necessary shipping documentation
• Enable timely billing through accurate documentation
• Support claims handling and ensure proper follow-up
Vendor & Internal Collaboration (10%)
• Collaborate with supply chain partners globally
• Liaise with billing, claims, accounts payable/receivable, and account managers
• Help resolve service issues, vendor discrepancies, and client escalations
• Identify and implement process improvements
Customer Satisfaction & Exception Management (10%)
• Monitor and manage customer/vendor expectations
• Investigate and resolve exceptions or disputes promptly
• Achieve KPIs by maintaining high performance and service quality
What We’re Looking For
Required:
• 2+ years of experience in relocation, freight forwarding, or 3+ years in customer service
• Fluent Norwegian (written and spoken); English proficiency required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and organizational excellence
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and multitask
• PC proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree
• Secondary language skills
• Experience with international shipping and logistics
• Basic geographical knowledge and understanding of shipping terminology (weight, density, CWT, etc.)
